About the Airbus A321neo

Since summer 2024, we’ve gradually replaced our Boeing 737 fleet with the Airbus A321neo from the Airbus A320neo family. Now, our fleet has around 13 Airbus A321neos. Alongside the A321neo, the slightly smaller A320neo will be joining our fleet. Both airplane types are more fuel-efficient and quieter, contributing to our sustainability goals. And they offer even more comfort and convenience. Our A321neo will fly on routes within Europe.

Airplane names

"Neo" stands for "new engine option". That means this airplane type has a different kind of engine than the previous Airbus A321 and A320s. These engines help make sure that the "neos" emit less CO2 than their predecessors. The names of the first four A321neo airplanes are Swallowtail, Peach Blossom, Common Brimstone, and Clouded Magpie. All butterflies — the theme was chosen by our employees, and ties in nicely with the transformation we’re embarking on with the new fleet.
