Terms and Conditions for SAF (alternative aviation fuel) option

KLM offers you the option to voluntarily contribute to the purchase of extra SAF (alternative aviation fuel) by purchasing the SAF Option.

This voluntary contribution is exclusively offered to passengers holding a ticket for KLM flights operated by KLM or Air France and complements the SAF surcharge already included in the ticket price, where applicable.

The extra SAF voluntarily contributed by you will not directly replace the regular fuel on your flight, but it does allow KLM to buy a bit more SAF to add to the airport’s fuel systems.
